Small Groups
Rooted in Community, Growing in Discipleship, equipped for life (Eph 4:16)
Community life is a really important aspect of Newbury Baptist Church and is a vital part of the vision for the church. Life is very busy and it can be a real challenge for people to get to know one another on a Sunday and really feel supported and encouraged. Small groups were established to meet this need as well as provide the opportunity to grow in discipleship.
'Encounter' Small Group
Each small group has elements of prayer, Bible study, discussion, socialising, support and encouragement, but every group has its own identity and emphasis. Run by small group leaders, they have proved to be an invaluable part of NBC life and everyone is encouraged to participate.
Small Group Leaders
Groups meet on different days and times throughout the week in people’s homes across Newbury and surrounding villages.
