The Newbury Alpha Course
What's Happening? The Newbury Alpha Course starts here at NBC on Wednesday 23rd
September at 7.30pm and runs for 10 weeks (plus a Holy Spirit Day on a Saturday). As in
previous years, it is being run jointly by several Newbury churches. Jon Stannard is leading the
course.
Why is it important? With over 13m people estimated to have attended courses worldwide
including 2m in the UK, Alpha has demonstrated its success in making conversions and growing
churches. For example, Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) in London is growing at 8% per year -
