What else do we do?
Newbury Baptist Church is an outward looking and proactive church, and is involved with a number of activities, charities and events within the
Newbury area and the wider community.
A large number of organisations and supportive groups have been supported or set up by the church in order
respond to a range of community needs, and there are now a variety of groups which help to sustain and facilitate a number of important causes.
Volunteers and assistance are always required to help run these initiatives, so do please have a look and see if there is somewhere you can apply your gifts to.
If you feel you are in need of help from one of these groups, then please do contact the
church office for more details or complete the '
get involved' form.
Alpha is for everyone, especially those wanting to investigate Christianity, new Christians, those new to the church, and those who want to brush up on the basics.
The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the big questions of life such as: Why are we here? What happens after we die? Why is our spirituality important? Exactly who was this man Jesus? Why is there so much suffering? It is relaxed, low-key, friendly and fun. There is no question too simple, too silly, too big or too hostile that you can't ask it. Anything goes!
