The COINS Trust

COINS is an acronym for Christian Opportunities In Newbury Schools. AND also for...

C hrist taken to young people where they are
O pportunities for the young
I n and around schools where they spend much time
N ew ideas for involvement with young people
S upport for children and teachers

COINS Trust is committed to having positive influence in the lives of the school communities in the local area - investing time into the lives of our children and young people and all involved in schools

COINS Trust fully respects all other religions and cultures, while offering to share the faith and Christian values we feel are essential in today’s world.

COINS Trust Schools Workers lead many activities, including ‘up-front’ work such as assemblies and lessons, and individual support for children in class.

They help with activities for Christian children and young people - such as supporting Christian Unions and helping to establish new Christian groups.

Another vital aspect is relational work with pupils who have social and emotional needs.

They work closely with school staff and with local church communities.

In churches they encourage Christians to have an active concern for local schools by offering support to pupils and staff. They raise the profile of COINS Trust work by talking at meetings (e.g. Mission Groups, Midweek Groups and at Sunday Services)

They help to encourage and train other Christian adults for appropriate work in schools.

Churches and individuals support us and more information is available to let you know how to provide support with prayer and voluntary work such as practical help at COINS Trust events, Storytelling Project, etc.
